# Blizz — Child Safety & Age Policy (18+)

Blizz is designed for **adults (18+)** and for **public, group meetups**. We built Blizz to reduce risk from the start: no private messaging, group-based meetups, and age-focused safeguards.

## Adults only (18+)

Blizz is **not for minors**. People under 18 are not allowed to create an account or use the service.

If we believe someone may be under 18, we may restrict access and require additional age verification. Accounts confirmed to be under 18 will be removed.

## How we reduce underage use

We use several practical checks to help prevent minors from using Blizz:

### 1) Identity check at meetups

At the beginning of each meetup, we use a quick **face verification** step to confirm the attendee matches their account.

### 2) “Young appearance” review

If the system flags that someone may be very young, we trigger extra checks before allowing continued use.

### 3) ID verification when needed

If we still can’t confirm age, we require a **government ID scan** as an additional verification step (available in the account/setup area).

### 4) Group-only meetups by design

Blizz meetups are **group-to-group**. You cannot use the app to meet someone one-on-one on your own. This helps keep first meetings social and safer.

### 5) Age-proximity matching preference

Our matching algorithm is designed to **prefer matches within similar age ranges**, reducing the likelihood of large age gaps.

## Reporting a safety concern

Blizz does not currently support chat or content sharing. If you have a safety concern or believe someone may be underage, please contact us:

Verification steps are used only for **safety, fraud prevention, and age assurance**. We aim to collect the minimum data needed and keep it secure.
